27/03/2020 Update – message from our managing director

27th March 2020

A message from our managing director – Pump House Pumps Ltd.

Serving our customers as the Covid-19 situation develops.

I wanted to update with you the steps that we are taking to address the Covid-19 situation and explain how the Pump House Team will continue to support you as we move forward post the government announcement on Monday 23rd March.
The health of our employees and customers is our top priority. To reduce their risk of exposure to Covid-19, we have:

• Reduced further the number of staff working in the office and warehouse
• Suspended all business travel until further notice
• Set up contingency plans to enable mobile working for colleagues where possible
• Enhanced the cleaning of our offices
• Screening the temperatures of staff twice a day

Planning ahead

In addition to the steps we’ve taken to protect the well-being of our people, we have been reviewing the business continuity plans to ensure our operations continue to run smoothly. This includes making sure we have contingencies in place to deal with any potential disruptions throughout the markets and with our critical partners.

Due to the ongoing situation, please be advised that Pump House will continue to run but has further reduced to 30% staff working from the office and warehouse and 70% staff working from home – two teams alternating weekly. The warehouse is fully operational until further notice where we will continue to offer order collections, next day deliveries and site deliveries if requested.

We will continue to do our utmost to serve our customers. Our teams are following guidance provided by the Government and the World Health Organisation and working closely with our network, colleagues and suppliers to assess the ongoing situation.
Further updates will follow as the situation develops.
Stay safe,

Dave Bass
